Zeus + Poseidon on Apple Silicon
Running a 2000 Windows game on modern Macs, from its original code and without a virtual machine.
202 Windows functions rewritten · 8 regression scenarios · 8 releases

The need
Zeus: Master of Olympus is a 32-bit Windows game that Apple Silicon Macs can no longer run. The usual answers are Wine or a virtual machine. This project runs the game's original code inside a small sandboxed x86 emulator and rewrites the Windows functions it needs as native code.
My role
Author and maintainer: reverse engineering, architecture, development, testing, releases and community.
Highlights
- The real game, not a remake: same simulation, same save files.
- Accuracy you can check: replayed scenarios compare every frame with a reference.
- The game's file formats documented, with reference readers in Python.
- A public roadmap towards a fully native engine, one part at a time.
- A ready-to-run app, with no game files in the repository.
Contributing
Try it on your Mac and report back, test another edition of the game, or pick a good first issue.

This website, run as a project in its own right: open source, self-hosted and secure by design.
The need
Showing how I run a project and handle security, rather than describing it. The code is public; only the private area's content stays on the server.
My role
Scoping, architecture, security, development and operations.
Highlights
- A roadmap in milestones, each with a checkable exit criterion.
- Strict nonce-based CSP, HSTS, aiming for A+ on Mozilla Observatory and SSL Labs.
- CI with CodeQL, Dependabot and Docker image scanning.
- Personal private links that expire and can be revoked.
Contributing
Report a vulnerability privately as described in the security policy, or open an issue for a mistake on the site.
